Mariam is currently the owner of Afsana Boutique, an online boutique that sells Central Asian jewelry. Each piece purchased contributes toward aiding the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan and those displaced as a result of conflict. A philanthropist at heart, she has a background in non-profit organization administration and management. She previously founded a non-profit organization that helped aid orphaned and destitute children of Afghanistan with housing, education, nutrition, and healthcare. Mariam has 19 years of non-profit organization experience, providing humanitarian aid to those in need in war torn Afghanistan. In addition, she has experience in the fields of compliance and program management. Her calling in life is to help those who cannot help themselves. She has a passion to help underserved communities, especially those within Afghanistan. Her dream is to see Afghanistan and its people prosper and thrive.

 About Mariam

She is a proud mother of two beautiful children and loves to travel. Her goal is travel to all of Central Asia and to learn more about the vibrant art and history of the region. She also loves learning different languages - she is a native Farsi (Dari) speaker and is currently learning Turkish.
